Up the hill from the Jardín is Atascadero, sometimes called “Los Arcos”, since entering the neighborhood from the city requires passing through the arched gateway of the original Atascadero Ranch.

It is a magnificent quite residential area that has grown slowly since the 1950s, resulting in a mix of various architectural styles.
