Malanquin is a gated community located on the south side of town. The 18-hole golf course is the centerpiece of this area, and there is a country club, swimming pool, tennis and walking trails. Homes in this area often quite large, and those facing the golf course are very expensive. There is a good mix of Mexican and expatriates, who want a secure gated community with all the amenities.
