10 km north of San Miguel de Allende, towards Atotonilco, you will find this beautiful spot after a series of Indian Chapels-built between the 18th and 19th centuries- the route is called "Capilla de Indios". Flat land with vegetation of the region and amazing views. Water provided by the community is ready to be set as well as electricity.
On the tour to the lot, local people told us about the ancestral stories, anecdotes, rites and festivities that take place in each of the nearby chapels.
The lot is located near the Laja River (an important tributary in the past).
The road is mostly paved but there is a stretch of dirt where the nopales, mezquites, huizaches and some cacti delineate the landscape that is complemented by small houses, some "tienditas" and the beautiful chapels that can be seen on its way.
